What If It Doesn't Work Out? (Ep 98)
Kelly Jackson explores the “hidden bargain” many people make with action—only doing the thing if the outcome is guaranteed—and why real life never offers that certainty. She shows how staying attached to potential can protect the ego, while execution trades fantasy for information, and explains the crucial distinction between “it didn’t work” and “I didn’t work.” Using examples like launches, events, relationships, and her own 10-day festival, Kelly reframes results by separating intended outcomes, actual outcomes, and unexpected consequences that can matter later. She also offers a more nuanced take on manifestation: desire gives direction, not control (“the vision is solid, the path is negotiable”), and emphasizes iteration, feedback, and discernment over toxic persistence.
From the Episode:
- " And you can want something deeply and work toward it sincerely and believe in it completely and still not receive that particular outcome that you had imagined."
- " Possibility is enormous before reality gets involved, and then you act, and reality answers."
- " Actions have consequences far beyond their intended outcomes. So something can fail at its stated objective while producing consequences that later become enormously important."
- " Manifestation doesn't mean domination of reality. It means participation with possibility. The same or better. Be open to it being even better than you imagined."
